Neil was admitted as a barrister in 2002. Prior to becoming a barrister, Neil work as an Ambulance Officer with the Queensland Ambulance Service for five years before owning and running his own Medical Practice in 1995. Pursuing a long term goal and desire to practice in Law, Neil completed his Law Degree with Honours at Bond University in 2002.

Neil subsequently worked within the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and commenced practice at the private bar in 2004.

Neil has also acted as a tutor in Criminal Law subjects at Bond University in 2004.
