John Lee was admitted to the Bar in May 1982, since which time he has continually been a member of Fullagar Chambers in Brisbane.
He has had extensive experience in Civil, Criminal and Family trials of a wide variety. He has in the past appeared regularly in applications, trials and appeals in the Children’s Court, the Magistrates Court, the District Court, the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal (both Civil and Criminal). He has appeared in the AAT, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. He has also appeared in a variety of tribunals and before Statutory bodies.
For the last several years, Mr Lee has practised in the Civil area exclusively. In that time, his practice has involved cases in the areas of Commercial litigation, Contracts, Torts, Personal Injuries, Estate Matters, Intellectual property, Land cases and general business disputes.
Mr Lee is also a qualified and experienced Mediator, and is available to conduct Mediations at his Maroochydore Chambers, or wherever it might suit the parties.
Interests outside the law include Family, Sport and Community service. Mr Lee is or has been the President or other officer of many community and school organisations. He is the current Vice-President of Queensland Squash (QSquash Ltd). He is or has been a director of a number of companies, both private and public, and has active interests in Property Investment.
Mr Lee holds a Master of Laws conferred by the Queensland University of Technology. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
